television appearance - set list may be incomplete - In Europe for a promo visit, Van Morrison made his first live public appearance in more than two years. He played two sets for 150 people at Maunkberry's restaurant-club in London. On the first, he was accompanied by Dr. John (Mac Rebennack) on keyboards, Mick Ronson on guitar, Peter Van Hooke on drums, and Mo Foster on bass. He played material from his new album, A Period of Transition, and unrecorded songs in the vein of Veedon Fleece.
